There were times in history, when products of Polish origin met with moderate enthusiasm. However, as far as artistic and especially musical works are concerned, label „Made in Poland” has invariably matched high quality. Music composed, or rather conjured by Polish authors has always been respected by both audiences and critics all over the world.
Audience of Made in Poland concert will have an opportunity to listen to Orawa by Wojciech Kilar, inspired by traditional Polish folk music (Góral music), and very popular in concert halls around the world. In addition, Serenade for Strings by Mieczysław Karłowicz, will put everyone in romantic mood. To complete this great list the concert programme included Concerto for Violin and Orchestra by Grażyna Bacewicz, her opus magnum, most frequently performed, fascinating and inventive. Its virtuosity, as well as perfect combination of tradtition and modern sound ideas astonish.
We have invited Bartosz Bryła – violinist and teacher at the Academy of Music in Poznań and in Wrocław – to perform as the concertmaster during this exceptional concert.
Bartosz Bryła (born on June 27th, 1960) started his musical education in the age of six in Prof. Adam Nowak’s violin class – first in Music School in Wrocław, and later on at the National Music School in Wrocław.
