Pedro Oliveira (BR/DE) will conclude his residency at TRAFO with a performative Artist Talk, rounding off his activities in Szczecin and the region as part of the TEKHNÉ – Be Aware of Sound project*.
Exploring sound art, listening, and border politics, the artist will discuss his research and field visits to the planned Lower Odra Valley National Park, the Świdwie Nature Reserve, and Świnoujście. The event’s performative structure will integrate his insights with materials collected throughout the residency.
During his residency at TRAFO, Oliveira worked on the audiovisual essay all the elsewheres we dream of, focused on the interplay of voice, identity, and migratory experience. Incorporating a magical-realist text, the artist’s sonic explorations, and improvisations by flutist Marina Cyrino, the project becomes the point of departure for a lecture-performance – the first public iteration of this work in progress.
