Jenny Gräf Sheppard’s performance conjures the animism behind her current installation Speaker Release, where energies are in the forefront of her work with sound.
For this closing event, Gräf performs with the room full of her speaker-instruments, porcelain, copper and magnet sculptures that act as both speaker and instrument. Her music performance is ambient, textural and kinetic. Working on the edge of audible sound, she draws our attention to the possibility of new forms of listening.
