BOB DYLAN AND THE AMERICAN
COUNTERCULTURE OF THE 1960’S

The lecture dedicated to the American singer and poet, the 2016 Nobel Prize laureate, Bob Dylan, will be held as part of the Polish Association for American Studies 2017 Conference organized by the University of Szczecin. On the occasion of the lecture, TRAFO bookshop will offer a selection of books written by Jerzy Jarniewicz, including his hippie movement monography All you need is love. Sceny z życia kontrkultury from Znak publishing house and a number of books released by Officyna publishing house in the Twarze kontrkultury series. 

Jerzy Jarniewicz (born 1958, based in Łódź) – poet, translator and literary critic. He graduated from English philology. He lectures English literature at the University of Łódź and is a reknown translator of English literature, including novels by Simon Armitage, Philip Roth, Craig Raine and James Joyce, among others. He is a member of the editorial board of Literatura na świecie (world literature) and Tygiel Kultury (the melting pot of culture). He collaborates with British literature periodicals Areté and Poetry Review and is the author of twelve publications of literary criticism and thirteen collections of poems.
