Artist Talk with Laureta Hajrullahu, a multimedia artist from Pristina whose practice explores the areas of privacy, gender, intimacy, digital ecosystems and (un)possible futures. During the meeting, Laureta Hajrullahu will share her experiences with the presence of digital media and the ways they are used both as a critical medium and as a tool for imagining intimacy and the future. She will also talk about her project implemented in Szczecin as part of the ZONA LAB residency, presenting its assumptions and inspirations.
Laureta Hajrullahu (born 1997, Preševo, Serbia) explores the shifting boundaries between the virtual and physical realms. Through installations, video works and game-based environments, she constructs speculative landscapes that challenge conventional notions of identity, space and “reality” itself. Her work resonates with a generation that is living an increasingly hybrid life – a life shaped as much by code as by corporeality.
Laureta Hajrullahu has participated in numerous exhibitions, including the Biennale Manifesta 14, at the National Gallery of Kosovo, Bazament Art Space in Tirana, FORUM STADTPARK in Graz, Tallinn Art Hall, Art Quarter in Budapest, Toplocentrala in Sofia and the Museum of Contemporary Art in Montenegro. He is currently on an artist residency at the Academy of Art in Szczecin and is preparing for an upcoming solo exhibition at Vänersborgs Konsthall in Sweden.
