…………………………….
Residency program accompanying the exhibition “Disappearing” by Elżbieta Jabłońska.
In collaboration with TRAFO, the artist invites individuals dealing with art in the broad sense to join her in her place by the Vistula river, at its 788th km. Elżbieta Jabłońska offers a small house to the artists, located next to her house in Kozielec (near Bydgoszcz), where she has lived with her family for the last 10 years. During the one-week residency, the participants will have an opportunity to disappear, dissolve into the Vistula landscape. They will work on their projects and carry out field activities “in” and “in front of” the place.
Each applicant should prepare a visual presentation of their work – a short video (up to 5 minutes) or slide show (up to 3 minutes), and forward the link with their name, surname, phone number, e-mail address, as well as the acceptance of the rules of the place, at w788km@gmail.com.
Applications may be submitted now through May 5, 2019.
Every participant will be provided with an independent living and working space, a one-off scholarship of PLN 1,000 and the opportunity to present the outcome of their work at subsequent exhibitions, with show locations and dates to be confirmed at a later date.
Three artists will be selected and invited to stay in Kozielec for one week. The exact residency period will be confirmed individually.
Residency results will be announced no later than June 9, 2019.
The program was possible thanks to financial support from the President of Bydgoszcz.
