The exhibition accompanying Młode Wilki 17 festiwal (young wolves festival), featuring works of the students of the Faculty of Sound Studies at the University of Arts in Berlin, created under the supervision of prof. Sabine Sanio, the only woman lecturing the theory and history of audiovisual culture at the Berlin university.

ARTISTS:

Alejandra Cárdenas (also ‘Ale Hop’) is a composer and instrumentalist from Lima, Peru based in Berlin. When not working on her solo endeavors she is engaged with creating scores for films and TV. She has composed, produced and edited seven studio album.

Aude Gouaux-Langlois is a French composer, musician and sound artist. Her work deals with different sound sources taken out of their original context creating textural compositions. She is currently enrolled as a student in the Master “Sound Studies” at the Berlin University of Arts.

Arina Koreniushkina is a russian curator, experimental musician and Vj, based in Berlin. Having background both in music and film theory, history, criticism and practice, as a curator and an artist she is particularly interested in the history of audio and film technology and what impact does it make on modern creators. Currently she is doing her master in “Sound studies” at Udk Berlin and occasionally helps with running of the program at Spektrum art space, which is focused on science and technology based art. 

Nicolás Rosero (Colombia, 1991) is a painter and sound artist currently living in Berlin and taking part of the Sound Studies Master of Arts in the Udk. His work explores both the correspondences and ambivalences between sound and visual media.

Belinda Sykora lives and works as a soundartist, musician and actress in Berlin and Vienna. Her work deals boundry transcending with voice and sound. In 2008 she graduated from acting school. Since 2016 she’s taking her master’s in Sound Studies“ at UdK Berlin.

Felipe Vaz is a brazilian sound artist and researcher, now living in Berlin and participating in the UdK Sound Studies master. His works are mostly based on temporal processes and conceptual issues related to sound, music and its spatial settings. They have been presented among others at Casa Encendida (Madrid), Bienal da Caixa de Novos Artistas (multiple cities in Brazil), Arts Santa Mònica (Barcelona), La Maudite (Paris), Verbo/Galeria Vermelho (São Paulo), Klang Tour (Berlin), Caixa Cultural (Rio de Janeiro), Fonoteca Nacional (Ciudad de México).

Carlos Villamizar, born in Bogotá, lives since 1989; is a Musician, Sound Producer and Sound Artist living in Berlin since 2014. Interested in the the future evolution of space-time near singularities.


The opening will be accompanied by the concert from Golden Diskó Ship, a one-person female orchestra.
