TRAFO’s Artist-in-Residence program provides an unconventional space for artists where they can live and work, while at the same time offering visitors an opportunity to observe the creative process in an open studio format.

Our aim is to encourage and exhibit projects which draw from the versatile nature of the city of Szczecin and its history while taking advantage of the unique nature of the TRAFO building by incorporating visual arts, music, writing, performance, multimedia and community cultural development for short and long term projects that have a connection to, or presentation outcome at TRAFO.

The program focuses on the work of artists who fall outside of the mainstream of conservative art practice. We encourage artists to approach us if their work is unique, experimental, challenging, visually and mentally stimulating.

The program offerings include living arrangements, studio space, and mentorship to encourage creative production for both young and established international artists.
